Lowry airforce base

What used to be an airforce base is now a flight museum but being there feels like a time machine. It's a great place, especially in early spring.

sorry it's been a while

For spring break I drove with some of my very best friends, Jay, Jim, and Lindsay to Santa Fe, NM for 4 days of DELICIOUS FOOD! There was also museums, etc but really, let's be honest, the number one reason to go to NM is food. I think I'll eat huevos rancheros every day for the rest of my life.

Also, isn't the welcome to Colorado sign ten thousand times more incredible than the New Mexico sign. . . obv. we're the greater state.

Celeste + John

My aunt Celeste had a beautiful wedding on New Year's day and I was honored to take her pictures.

The table decorations were all done out of a wedding supply closet of sorts, the Moore women are so resourceful!

My mom and a family friend made this lovely wedding cake.

My dad has three beautiful sisters, and it isn't hard to believe when you look at my grandmother.

Celeste's daughter Savannah and my little sister are inseparable.

 And the happy couple . . .

My devistatingly handsome cousins

Here's 3 of my grandma's 25 grandkids (she's got 10 kids and 3 great-grandkids. . . we're Catholic). Family dinners are basically the best days of the year even if we can't even fit into anyone's house.  We actually have to have Christmas dinner in my aunt's church because there are too many people to eat in my grandma's house. All of my cousins are great though, I wish I had pictures of more than just three.

I didn't disappear in Panama City

I had every intention of keeping up with my periodic updates from Central America. . . but then I didn't.

I also had every intention of taking lots of pictures. . . but then I didn't.

Here is a series just to prove I really did go to the ocean.

Red Frog Beach, Bocas Del Toro, Panamá

Maybe there will be more to come when I cease feeling incredibly lazy.

In any case, ¡Feliz Navidad!

Panama City

Panama Panama Panama. . .
I am so impressed by this country, so much safer than other places in Central America and the people are wonderful.

So far we have
1. Visited Casco Viejo, a lot like New Orleans' French Quarter
2. Saw the Panama Canal
3. Went hiking in a National Park
4. Went to a Panamanian salsa concert

I don't have a lot to say, but it's been really great so far.  Today we're flying to an island of the cost of Northern Panama called Bocas del Toro, I'm going to the beach for the first time since I was 16!

Picutres to come upon my return. . .

love,
Allie

Of late

There haven't been nearly as many exciting/photo-worthy things going on in my life since I've been spending most of my time trying to learn what a differential equation is or how the Periodic table works, but I still managed to take a few pictures.

My little brother went to his very first school dance . . . (he would probably  kill me if he knew that I did stuff like this on the internet, but I'm reasonably sure he has no idea).

I don't know what it is about this picture of my littlest brother but it just melts my heart! He looks so concerned.

These next pictures are from the Harvest of Hope Benefit Dinner, which I worked on the auction for. It was incredible, the speaker was Deborah Katina who runs a Kenyan nonprofit. Amazing group of people and I'm so excited to hear how much we earned for African women and clean water.

We had some great African art, including this out of control headdress that was in the silent auction

Recognize this picture?

Anyways, I've noticed that the quality of the pictures here is pretty terrible, but if you click on them you can view them larger and they look a tiny bit better.

Hopefully I find more exciting things to photograph in the near future.
